It's not just a war. It's a process of creation. Greater entities, forming from human empires, greater empires along the way that have yet to exist. The confusing part is whether or not some of the scary stuff matters, maybe this is good or bad, maybe it's fate. Empires are beings, who knows if they will form newer beings too, but if that happens then humans will further transform from what we were. This process is very much analogous to how multicellular life formed and eventually after billions of years created the most conscious beings up till then, us. If you look into some real cures for cancer, it's a metabolic condition, turns out. We would have to either remove ourselves from the empire, or bring pockets of nature and hostility, bringing environment and weathering to us; this is if we really wanted to experience independence and the real full human experience.
