No. We were given dominion over the earth, we are expected to curate it responsibly. Think of a kings game warden. Yes, the title of the royal game warden means that he has complete control over the forests of his king, but that doesn't mean he can do with it what he wishes. He has to carefully watch over the land, using his authority to satisfy the king's wishes. If he goes around killing all the game for himself, he'll find himself in stocks very quickly. So it is for our expectations of nature. God entrusted us with Earth, it is our birthright, but we are expected to rule over it with wisdom and compassion.

Yes, animals have souls. If people dismiss the idea of animals having a soul because the Bible does not explicitly depict God breathing the soul into animals, like He did with Adam, we could argue that women do not have a soul either since it does not say that God breathed a soul into Eve.

Animal souls are of a lower consciousness than that of men and they require many reincarnations over the course of millions of years to refine their consciousness and spiritually ascend to the point of having the capacity of living even the simplest human life.
