Property taxes are actually the better taxes. First of all, most of them if not all of them, go to your local city, county and state. Not the fucking feds (the enemy.) Second, income taxes are the true evil in our midst. Sales tax also- it disproportionately harms the poor. Sales taxes and income taxes are ten times worse than property taxes.
Remember history. When the United States first formed, property taxes were the ONLY taxes directly on citizens. That was it. But if you paid them, you got to vote. (Non tax-payers couldnt vote in early America.) This is the system we need to return to, not run from.

It's the only one that makes any remote sort of sense either. Unless you work for the government they have essentially nothing to do with your arrangement because they certainly don't protect you.
