They both make good accordion music. They are also both of my favorite countries.
Literally the only similarity is that the flag has the same three colours & they're both the One True Rome.
Russia used to admire France, and even sent their soldiers to die for France in WW1. Now Russians are getting killed by french mines and artillery.

Russia is Spain, but younger and located in a cold climate. Also our colonies weren't separated by ocean and we have nukes.
If you think about it, every former great power met about the same end and about the same way, with involvement of bri'ish.
I'll say that online, the only nice people I've met and have fond memories of are a French guy and two Russians. I wonder where they are now.

God, I wish this were true. But being "right-wing" and patriotic in Russia now often means being nostalgic for communism.
They both beat the Germans, but are butthurt that Germany is still better than their countries.
