Conquering those territories made Britain control most maritime trade routes, and made Britain the richest empire on earth at time. India had a lot of wealth on its own. The Industrial Revolution just boosted it to the next technological age.

The Ottomans didn't need to threaten Western Europe. They had territory all over the place, and the wealth and influence that came with it. Spain's territories largely consisted of primitives and quasi-primitives in the Americas.
