I forgot the sick volcom hoodie i got for Christmas at the ridgely, md skatepark that year. Didn’t care about much except finding who took it. Was only gone an hour so it had to be someone close by. Live in MT now but I spent at least ten years looking for it. Sometimes i wonder if it got donated in a Planet Aid box and maybe some nigger in Africa has it now. Thought i spotted it in a Routes de I’mpossible episode recently but it was a full zip version and mine was a pull-over.

Y2k was an issue for a lot of systems by the way. And a shit load of work was done to update and upgrade everything.
Nothing happened because people fixed it.

Lucky Microsoft got the anti-virus out in time!!

9-11

I had a similar one around 2002. But mine was grey. Sorry to hear about your tale of loss and heartbreak.

2012. Maybe the world as we knew it did actually end back then and is just slowly deteriorating, who knows

Either the 2012 Rapture or the Area 51 Raid of 2019. Though I both knew those wouldn't amount to anything. Technically would be Y2K, but I was too young to even know it was going on (8 y.o.)

The Cold War

The ‘big’ bang

This, many people were trained and employed to fix it. The problem wasn't a big concern for individuals' home computers (of which there were far fewer in 99) but it was for large scale banking and hospital systems
