I left Belgium many years ago and worked in a lot of countries. Finally settled here. A Belgian company once wanted me to come back and during final negotiations we did the calculations. For my net to remain the same, they needed to pay me 43% than what I currently earned earned after tax.
Belgian, French and Danish taxes are absolutely disgusting.
I’d tell you that Belgian social security is much better, but I’d be lying. Healthcare is not the best but as good as in Belgium.
So where does the majority of the money go? Arabs.
