it depends all in all but lets say the home is 350k you will need a DP of at least 50k which is low, because the less you pay upfront, the more they can charge you in mortgage. duh. hence why they let boomers remortgage their homes all the time for several thousands of liquid cash to go on trips or renovate the gaff. on a 4% interest rate which is far lower than a credit card or personal loan.
But yeah, you're going to be paying 650k of debt over 30 years, most of it interest. Ideally you accelerate your income above the rates and payments but even then you're might not be able to depending on your specific mortgage.
