The CIA people spent their entire careers arming rural rightwing religious nuts to overthrow leftwing socialist governments all over the world. They basically armed and promoted every foreign country's version of MAGA. When those people took over, they mass murdered and destroyed their country, turning their society's into shitholes that the US would loot and pillage for the profit of capitalism in it's own borders. The CIA did this to the entire world for decades and they still do it to this day. It's not hard to understand why they'd think MAGA is stupid as they're firsthand experts in the fallout of such people running things. They also recognize how the Russians are attempting to do the same thing to the USA through MAGA that they did to everyone else.

With views like these, the vast majority of society is now in the liberal camp even if they don't like many liberal things. This is because the opposing views are now so utterly odious, disgusting and immoral where even the most bitter secular people have no choice but to vote -D.
