Plenty of good men out there, and also plenty of good women out there. These two groups tend to date each other.
There is a vocal minority of disaffected men and women, and they have their reasons.
Disaffected men tend to be generally socially awkward or have other hygiene or personality disorders which leads them to be rejected. This is easy to understand.
Disaffected women however, are a smaller minority where their emotional and sexual attraction is misaligned. Most women are sexually attracted to men they also find emotionally attractive, kind, sweet, present etc. However some women have a misaligned sexual attraction where they want rough or otherwise over-dominant men sexually but do not click with that type of man (obviously) emotionally, it's that kind of personality disorder that would lead to a comment like OP:
