I've been in the environmental field since 07 and the amount of bullshit that comes along with "green" alternatives and regulations is laughably tiresome. Aside from bird strikes, you should see the amount of oil those fucking windmills release. They'll all do it eventually and it ends up leaching into the water table. I specialize in groundwater remediation and have been to wind farms that'll have feet of oil sitting on the water table because the faggot wind techs don't address the leak and just keep filling the fucker up with oil. Recovering that bullshit is pretty rough due to it being so viscous. The amount of diesel we use to run a DPE unit to recover it would blow your damn mind.
