Catholicism is very obviously, historically, observably, uncontroversially, not Christianity. It's an amalgamation of Christian and pagan cult beliefs and rituals created by Rome to quell social and political problems in the empire. This isn't even controversial or contested. How can Catholics consider themselves Christians when their religion is a political creation and very clearly includes (or is even primarily made up of) pagan rituals and symbolism never mentioned in the bible? I don't have a strong position on Christianity in general but I just don't understand how anyone who takes their spiritual life seriously could honestly believe in a religion that's clearly a political creation and not a genuine tradition.
How can Catholics genuinely believe in their religion?

I always click on 'syncretism' option in Rome Total War when a religious event happens in Grand Campaign strategic map
So did the Romans
Simple, I believe in Jesus. RC was based until the second council, so I've lost faith in the organization since the crypto-jew invasion. But I've also lost faith in every institution that was invaded in the same time frame from 1960 to 1979. Every nation, religious institution, and supra national organization in the West was infiltrated to sew the seeds of destruction in those years.
>tradition
Why not just be a biblical Christian then though? Why associate yourself with a tradition that's half pagan?
>tradition
Christianity didn't drop down to sniveling beta cucks until 40 to 300 years ago after the Jews got power in America and cleaned its clocks.
Has the pope nigger fatigue?
i like the pope and feel sorry for him. he works for the wicked but i don’t think he is
>half pagan
The pagan half comes from Indo-European origin, and that's part of why I like it. RC would have incorporated the beliefs of my ancestors. I understand they were conquered, but not all was completely lost. That amalgamation is what made it a force to be reckoned with in Europe. And being so old, they have deep knowledge and some of the oldest traditions, there's probably crazy shit in the Vatican archives. Problem is the current brass in the organization are leftist demons.
All roads lead to Rome.
1: Because the very act of making some claim towards the bible in terms of legitimacy requires that you acknowledge the Catholic Church Fathers' legitimacy.
2: Religions have to exist in the real world. Religions being shaped by the politics of their time doesn't mean anything except that politics existed at the time--as they always have.
>an amalgamation of Christian and pagan cult beliefs and rituals created by Rome to quell social and political problems in the empire. This isn't even controversial or contested.
Lying kike
Marian Apparitions, Miracles, and some surprisingly believable exorcisms that are hard to explain rationally.
Seems retarded but it makes you think if you give it a watch. It’s the “condensed” version, though.
you know nothing about history retard
This. Traditional biblical Real Christian wins over pagancucks not christian cuctholics. Amen, awomen, agaymen and atransmen my brother
That makes sense as to why it would be appealing on a personal level - you like pagan and christian ideas, but if you take the bible seriously, you shouldn't be worshiping the sun and celebrating holidays based on Helenic gods. If you don't take the bible that seriously and just like the idea of Jesus and also like the pagan trappings I get it, but most Catholics are insistent that they are genuine Christians.
uneducated hick. Try reading your bible. Show me the part where it says you should incorporate sun cult worship and Helenic holidays in the church.
>1
Pre-catholic christian writings exist so no.
>2
retarded, hand waving, non-argument. Catholicism includes symbolism and practices not discussed in the bible and which clearly derive from local pagan beliefs of the time and is therefore not Christianity. Your little hand-wave does not address this fact, it's just an incoherent attempt to say everyone should just ignore it for some reason.
>Why not just be a biblical Christian then though
because it's wrong to deny what God has revealed in the last 1930 years
>Pre-catholic christian writings
they are closer to today's catholic beliefs than protestant beliefs
Are you suggesting there were further prophets or other forms of communication from Yahweh after the creation of the bible that endorse the non-biblical practices and symbols of the catholic church?
yes
Because religion fused with culture and local beliefs is flat out superior to just following a 2000 year old text to the letter.
Catholicism also has more than a thousand years of deep philosophy, art and history.
How can protestocucks ever compete?
>non-biblical practices and symbols of the catholic church
the Rosary for one
I'm not saying you should be a protestant either. Why not just follow the bible and not associate with a tradition?
Not arguing with that, but if you take that 2000 year old text seriously, such a fusion is heresy and should never be engaged in. You can't have it both ways. Either you take the book seriously or you make your own grab bag ideology, either is fine but if the book says "you can't just make your own grab bag ideology" then you can't do both.
>Why not just follow the bible
i do
Rome though
>genuine Christians
define that. I look at sects of Muslims (or any other religion) from an outside point of view, who would I be to say which is genuine and which isn't? After all, they all claim to be genuine. It's the same for Christianity, except you believe one side where I believe the other. Squabbling over it makes no real difference. I'd argue that the amalgamation of conquered societies' beliefs is a part of the natural cycle of religion, and one of the reason so many have different sects.
I have my own ideas about God, the world, traditions, the Church, Jesus, and I spiritually practice through the Catholic Church. I'm not lightly going to be convinced that the one I've participated in my entire life and is my spiritual inheritance through my family is simply wrong and I'm going to switch sides now. Ignoring personal roots and family tradition when it comes to matters like these is exactly why the West is a fucking dump today.
congrats on being a willing servant of the Jews and their made up god
>a willing servant of the Jews and their made up god
why did they make up a God that will send they all to hell?
But the bible doesn't talk about honoring Helenic holidays for the worship of Helenic gods. You said here that you believe catholic symbolism and practice are justified by post-biblical revelations of some kind. What were those revelations? Are they written?
>honoring Helenic holidays for the worship of Helenic gods
name them
>What were those revelations? Are they written?
there are named, there are thousands of them and you can just look them up
>define that
Following the teachings of Christ, which don't include any of the symbols or rituals practiced daily in catholic churches.
you know unrepentant false witness damns you to hell right? just confused why you keep persisting in it here
Where can I look them up? I've just never heard of this before. Where do I look? What do I search?
That's only to scare you into worshipping their tribal God, they don't believe in a Hell. Jews believe in reincarnation as all the other significant spiritual traditions, except notably Christianity and Islam, those are inculcated with a hatred for life and a longing for an unreal "other" existance.
