not a huge flare, but decently sized and directed at Earth, that was yesterday
another one just now (30 minutes ago) today, even bigger, the sunspot region producing them is highly active, more might come
CME will arrive in a few days, major geomagnetic storm will be happening for sure, probably the biggest so far this Solar cycle
what are the political implications of the glorious Sol ramping up its activity to kill off the technocratic elites?
Flares

What language is this?
What will happen to the unvaxxed?
a flare means a powerful burst of electromagnetic radiation, most commonly associated with mass being ejected into space (a coronal mass ejection, CME)
if such an ejection is large and fast enough, and happens to hit Earth, it can have major effects on both life and technology alike
what's interesting about happenings like this is that smaller CMEs will tend to "clear the way" for others that might follow, so the more powerful flare today following the one from yesterday can potentially lead to very powerful geomagnetic storm conditions

I’ve been telling people for the past few weeks that these are the main cause of of recent heatwaves but they just roll their eyes and can’t believe it for some reason. Well that reason is because all weather is driven in their minds by fossil fuel consumption
Is it really confirmed that climate scientists didn't factor in Sun activity in their calculations and models?
Is this why the UV is so high?
Let me guess, no matter what happens, however mundane, you're all going to blame DA JOOOOOOOOOOOZ for the outcome. Yeah? Right, I thought so. You're so fucking pathetic, go outside, incels.
By the way, Trump lost, Putin lost, Bolsonaro will lose, and you will always lose chuds.
Nothing ever happens.
is the sun trying to turn off our civilizations?
how much do the solar flares increase the temperature anyway?
well, them rolling their eyes is certainly unlikely to be founded in any evidence, but I don't think Solar activity has been the cause for those heatwaves at all, despite Solar activity ramping up in general, the last weeks have actually been relatively quiet
which UV measurements are you talking about?
that's not unlikely, high Solar activity definitely tends to increase radiation
>Ultraviolet radiation increases dramatically during high sunspot activity, which can have a large effect on the Earth's atmosphere.
except when it does
I really hope so, civilization has some cool aspects to it, like some technology, but overall it's been disastrous
well, the flares and CMEs themselves don't tend to increase temperature directly, but they typically occur during periods of high Solar activity, which is associated with increased energy output from Sol itself

NASA is saying the sun isn't causing global warming.
>high Solar activity definitely tends to increase radiation
Why wouldn't that raise the temp? It's energy.
>american can't understand english
many such cases
yes, that's what I'm saying, high Solar activity in general does absolutely raise temperatures
I was just saying that the individual flares and CMEs aren't really what's causing those increases, but rather the general increased energy output of Sol during periods of high activity
Two more weeks.
>Itt: we gather the energy of the sun to end globohomo
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHJ
Sun is angry. I can feel it. I will slaughter techno elites in its name. Sun wills it, praise the sun.
