New Zealand "loophole"

So in New Zealand there's this provision within the new gun laws that ARs are supposed to be limited to ten rounds and had to be rimfire. Well here's the thing there's an AR that fires .17wsm that is semi auto. Its called a JARD rifle and .17wsm is one of the strongest rimfires far outmatching a .22 and double even a 9mm. How have they not noticed this? You would think that they'd try to ban it by now. How long will you give it before its banned? Is this being left so that another new Zealand shooter would get .22s and rimfires outlawed too?

Well I guess new Zealand still isn't safe if a Any Forumscel wants a leaglly purchased dangerous semi automatic weapon.

New Zealand's entire government needs to be turned into shark bait.

Yeah but not a whole lot of nz agrees with you.

Takes a .17wsm to anything

At least lose their citizenship due to insanity (they are crazy but healthcare is too jewish to acknowledge it).
But if they become food for sharks it would be much better.

This is politics though

Did New Zealand actually hand in any of their rifles, or did they just get turned into safe queens. Canada didn't even turn in 0.1% of the newly prohib'd rifles we were asked to after the Nova Scotia false flag.

Idk like 40k

>hey guys, the authoritarian government that only gets shit done when that shit is depriving the common man of rights left a loopho-
>oop, they just closed it in an emergency session of government
Relying on loopholes to retain your civil liberties is peek serfcope.

just wondering why they left it.

Funny enough its from the u.s

Nigger that's a pellet gun..
A fucking toy for a 1950s teenager

For pest control. Lots of rabbits and possum to use small calibre on. There is also a pathway to have a semi auto of higher calibre for pest control of goats and larger, but naturally the government is fucking that all up on purpose

None were ever registered, so there could be millions out there. Certainly none of the criminals have handed theirs in because there have been drive by shootings (hitting only the house) just about every night for a month

Do pellets travel at 3000 fps? Because the .17wsm does.
It still gets mogged by 5.56 but the .17wsm mogs .22lr.

Well they're bootlicking faggots so it kind of checks out

>1/3rd the bullet weight of a 5.56
Imagine actually having to kill someone with this.

Its sure mogs a 9mm that's for sure.

Eh, semi auto .17 wsm is going to be ridiculously unreliable though. Absolutely phenomenal round in a sub-MOA bolt-action though.
t. .17 fanatic

Because people make mistakes.

>How to spot a no-guns larping faggot: the post

Yeah so will it take a shooting to patch it up?

On paper, the specs are pretty close to 5.7x28 and 4.6x30, which are literally NATO approved PDW rounds. You're getting hydrostatic shock at those velocities, so I could definitely see this killing.

why not use a co2 powered pellet gun?

It's surprisingly effective. It mogs coyotes at 400 yards.
>With a fucking rimfire

The laws are written by people with only a passing understanding of firearms. Same as canada. Nobody who has firearms as a lifelong hobby is helping write gun control laws. Get it while its legal and hope 4 da best.

Our yoots are half wolf and mean as fuck.

Well I feel for ya OP having to work within the confines of those ridiculous gun control laws. If you do your research, you may be able to find a AR15 lower receiver sold with a upper chambered in .17 and swap out the upper later on for a larger caliber. It's really all about the lower. It's better than nothing and has a decent velocity. Do some research on what type of lower it comes with and you may be able to modify it relatively easy. Just make sure to follow all (((laws)))

well shit at least you have options that are viable for defense
>pellet gun
Shoot yourself with one and let us know how that went.
I can consistently peg torso vitals at 150yds with a cheap .22lr and I know the .17 family can do lethal damage at 150 with 2 moa accuracy past 200.
>rimmed unreliability
I've found that as long as you aren't dry-firing a rimfire gun and keep the ammo decently lubricated you can go several hundreds of rounds without issue. Ammo selection also matters.
I always run .22lr the aguila super extra HV stuff, even though it's lubed so much it runs "too dirty".
It just functions no issue, but the more expensive federal and CCI will have fte's and ftf's (both feed and fire) within 100rds, being consideraly less lubed/cleaner rounds.

I don't know about the .17 world, but assume like all small caliber rimmed the ammo needs to be lubed up otherwise you need to add lube to the entire action every x rounds or you always get these problems.
