The other (more likely) possibility i see is massive deindustrialization of Germany, similar to what has happened to the PIGS since entering the EU and adopting the euro, Germany transforming from an industrial powerhouse to a service and tourism economy. This is obviously never going to work in the long term but i think they might try it. Any thoughts?
