What was the point of God freeing the Israelites/Jews from Egypt if they were just going create an evil regime bent on destroying the world?
Do the Jews ever do anything good? Are there any benefits to having Jews? And if not then why did God make a covenant with them?

God gave the Jews a chance, and they betrayed him. They betrayed him, did not recognize our Lord Jesus Christ as the true messiah, and started following a false doctrine.
As a result, Jews are cursed.
This will only be reversed when the majority of Jews in the world turn to Christianity and accept Jesus Christ.
At that point, Jesus Christ will come again in His 2nd coming here on Earth.

He gave them so many chances. But for the sake of accuracy, it's not the descendents of the ancient Israelites that are the problem these days. Those people were largely white and moved North into Europe anyways. It's the fake Jewish Khazars and Sabbateans that are the problem these days. They have zero genetic or historical connection to the people God had a covenant with, and only use the religion as a masquerade for their real religion, which is straight up evil.
Say what you want about religion, most of the big ones have some kind of "community offering" to at least pretend to want to help people. Sikhs love to give away food, Buddhists have shrines and open meditation everywhere, catholics have hospitals and schools. What about these guys? Literally nothing.
