Seriously, why is this even an argument?

Not just the view, but all the wheat there too.

>why is the sky turning slightly yellow and dust everywhere now ? Probably the Jews

You are an idiot OP. That is an amazing picture and would look 10 times worse with a windmill. It could be a desktop wallpaper. Did you get that from /wg/?

not to mention all the birds that fly into it

Shit I forgot no other form of every production kills birds

I think it's better to concentrate power generation in a few remote areas with little or no people living near by that get sick from the chemical outputs rather than have a bunch of obnoxious wind turbines and solar farms that not only make the landscape into an eyesore but can't meed the energy demands our civilization requires.

Honest question, solar technology has been getting rapidly cheaper over the past few decades and I only expect it and other forms of renewable energy production to get cheaper as time goes on. Once we hit the point where it's not even profitable to pay some random Iraqi to pump oil out in the desert, then why shouldn't we make the switch to a cheaper form of energy production?

I would buy a solar panel or two if it was $100 for the panel and I could go to a home depot and buy it, for mass adoption it needs to get way cheaper but at the same time other methods of power generation must remain in service because you can't count on the sun always shining. It's a shame really you wouldn't face so much resistance if the democratic party wasn't a bunch of flaming faggots and attempting to force it rather than letting changes occur naturally and without the moral grandstanding.

Since your best case production ratio for wind is 4%, you've got to build more than 20 actual turbines for every one theoretical turbines worth of electrical output. Even that understates the land use as we haven't accounted for the battery storage blocks so you can still turn on the lights between 4am and 10pm.

tl:dr there's no ethical way to consume of electricity that's generated more than 5 miles away

This. I don't mind spending money to get me more off the grid, but solar panels are too expensive, and don't even come with a battery bank included. I'll never see a return on that investment.

It's not just about cheap. On a long enough timeline "cost" becomes meaningless. We need energy on demand. You'll never pull more than 1.3Kw per square meter using solar panels and that number is a hell of a longshot as in that's the total power from the sun that reaches the surface. That's your upper limit with solar panels and it's pathetic. A single modern nuclear power plant can produce a million times that amount. Over a thousand MEGAWATTS, 24 hours a day, wind or no wind, sun or no sun. You don't need batteries. You don't need to deliver power over vast distances. Nuclear power is king when it comes to large scale, city demand energy production. Fossil fuels are second however still king for portable energy and anything that needs to move humans around. Nuclear could work but efficient nuclear power generation happens at building scale, not vehicle scale, and one could argue nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers are building sized so they don't count. There have been concepts for nuclear powered steam locomotives if we speak of consumer vehicles, gasoline will remain king for years to come because unlike the left would like to believe not everyone lives in a big city where you can afford to own a car with less range than a dirt bike, storing power in a battery that's gonna be very "displeased" with freezing temperatures and the countless charge discharge cycles it's being put through. I personally have no idea what the used electric car market is like but I'd be ready to bet it's a crapshoot. I mean Tesla literally remotely downgrades your battery if they find out you got a higher capacity one by mistake or through a hack KEK.

You city slickers know what rural retards like us do when we want more range using a gas vehicle? It's called a portable gas tank. Now I'd like to see a Tesla owner transporting backup batteries to achieve a similar effect lmao.

memes aside i've never heard anyone complain about the view re: wind turbines
what you would know if you've ever been near one, the sound is the problem
is this a covert citycuck thread? so many of the world's issues could be solved if you faggots unironically touched grass

Windmills are destroying the wind currents causing the atmosphere to stagnate.

Wind farms are shit not because it’s “free energy” but the mountains of waste it produces.
