>A March 2022 survey of AFT members found that 90% believe the shortage is a serious problem for them and their co-workers, and 92% said these staffing shortages should be a high priority for the AFT.
>According to Weingarten, there are four main factors at play: fewer people becoming teachers, a hot labor market where current teachers can get paid better in different roles, the lasting effects of the pandemic, and politics.
>"You add all of that together and you have a perfect storm," Weingarten said. "It was foreseeable and it is fixable. But we have to actually have the will to fix it."
>71% of teachers have seriously considered leaving their job over the past few years, according to AFT's report. Of those planning on leaving the profession in the near future, only about 20% are planning on doing so for normal retirement.
>"You have higher number of retirements this year, which everyone predicted because it was a really, really hard year," Weingarten said. "You have fewer people going into the profession."
>According to a report from Universities.com, the states struggling to find teachers the most are mainly near the West Coast, with the top five being California, Nevada, Washington, Arizona, and Hawaii.
So thankful I graduated from high school in 2013, right before this shit started to really take off.

>Rhonda "Randi" Weingarten was born in 1957 in New York City, to a Jewish family, Gabriel and Edith (Appelbaum) Weingarten. Her father was an electrical engineer and her mother a teacher.[1][2] Weingarten grew up in Rockland County, New York, and attended Clarkstown High School North in New City, New York.[2] A congregant of Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, she considers herself a deeply religious Jew.[3][4]
>A lifelong Democrat, Weingarten is a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).[83] She is a superdelegate who was pledged to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential primary.[84] She was mentioned as a possible candidate in the appointment process to replace Clinton's U.S. Senate seat.[85]
Many teachers are finding out diversity and inclusion aren't what they thought it would be. Getting culturally enriched by savage 50 IQ niggers and gangbanging spics who don't give half a fuck about "CRACKAZ" history can't be worth any amount of pay.

The teaching shortage is mostly in certain subjects, such as science and math. A few districts have started paying those positions more but most districts still pay all teachers the same. Part of the problem is also that kids today really are worse especially in urban districts because of the culture, the fact that parents don't care about responsibility anymore, and how many kids are raised by single mothers. Conservatives have done harm to the education system but so has wokeness, because a generation of kids raised by single mothers and raised to believe that being responsible is a bad thing makes life hell on teachers.
COVID also fucking sucked. The public acted like teachers were home on vacation but I've never had to work as hard as I did that year trying to figure out how to rework an entire curriculum with new technology and remote learning.
same. I thought we had it bad with leftie politics back then but holly goddamn shit I dont think id have survived school if I was dealing with this crap today
good. increase homeschooling. and small local schoolhouses. give tax credits or even payment to these parents. fuck pozzed teachers and their public schools.

Teaching should be a predominantly male profession Especially for ages 10 and higher
They're getting out before the grooming they were doing catches up with them.

Any Forums should know Randi Weingarten like they know George Soros and Jeffrey Epstein. She's one of the top jews.

Imagine trying to ‘teach’ spics that literally can’t speak English and niggers that basically can’t speak English to read and write in English.
Although I suppose all that is taught now is propaganda and non whites get an automatic pass anyway so it doesn’t matter.

Bunch of bullshit. There is a surplus of teachers large enough where they use up the new and naive ones in shitty majority black schools, getting into the good white schools as a new higher is almost impossible unless you know people there. And please "71% of teachers seriously considered leaving their job" is the most useless statistic ever. Aside from top 1% I don't know anyone who isn't considering quitting their job weekly.
