The entire civilized World uses 230v while USA uses 120V. This makes all electric kettles shit in the US. Why won't America switch to the superior voltage and join the electric revolution?

They even started later as a country so they can't even blame infrastructure problems
Canada uses 120v
I don't know why the rest of you use so much more juice than we do. However, since it upsets you, I'm sure there is a sound reason as to why. A reason that you europoors just can't accept, and that reason is, you're all inferior.
Thank you.
I can boil a cup of water in a trivial amount time in an electric kettle.
You are fucking retarded.
i boil my water on the stove
Damn, she was cute till she started flapping her cock covers.
We can power stronger devices and boil water faster for example.
I can do it twice as fast.
It's basic Science.
We have it retard, but we have it as split phase. Center tap the 230v tansformer and you csn ise 115 too. Fucking kike poles. All fields
>Waste more energy
Is what you meant to say, but you are a pole so I'll let that instance of idiocy slide.
LMAO DIS NIGGA IN THE 19TH CENTURY
We have 220, but it's split. 220 is reserved for larger appliances like electric dryers, water heaters, ovens, maybe you have a 240 in your garage for your welder, etc.
No 110 appliance meant to run continuously may exceed 1,250 watts (12.5 amps), short cycle appliances get special privilege to use 1,800 watts (15 amps).
Sorry, I meant 1,500 watts (12.5 amps).
Europoors dont understand split phase or using nat gas to do the job directly instead of in a power plant
We have 3000W kettles in every store.
Basically everything that produces a significant amount of heat is run on 240v in the us. The vast majority of electrical devices have no need for 240v. The main advantage is halving the amperage, but since most circuits have no need for >20A, it’s not an inconvenience.
You won't be able to heat your homes this winter. So, I think you should shut the fuck up
I like 110v. The pros of having a little more fire safety is comforting. It 99% the same experience, only difference is when you boil water with a kettle, which is precisely why they bring it up all the time. Also won't kill you as easily if you get shocked.
I live in a commie block with central heating. My neighbours will pay for my heating.
how do you do it bong? im a god damn cowboy
americans rarely drink tea so we simply have no need to buy water kettles you understand this right?
Built for BHC
...
i make a gallon of tea everyday
How do you drink coffee?
I drink chamomile twice a day, so I boil water at least twice a day. I use the microwave. 2 minutes and I boiled my water.
It's just so inconvenient I want to die. Get this, I actually have to put water in a mason jar, open the microwave up, place the cup in there, shut the door, put 2 whole minutes on the microwave, and wait 2 entire minutes for it to come to a good boil. I mean holy shit, it's so inconvenient I just want to die. If only I had a 220v electric kettle in my life, then I wouldn't want to die every day. I would finally be happy.
cool for you, you’re an outlier! Most of us drink coffee and we have special machines for that which run just fine on the 110v
boil water on stove, pour boiling water in cup with coffee grounds, pour in creamer or milk etc. thats how ive always done it and everyone i know. some people use coffee makers. and for tea i boil water on stove with tea bags, pour in tea pitcher, fill rest with water and put in sugar
At least the US is going to have electricity this winter. Europeans are going to be freezing in their homes while feral arabs are raping ypur women and having their homes prioritized for heating by the government.
>and 240v
ever seen a stove or washer in your life frend?
Nat gas is super cheap in the US. It's far cheaper to heat with nat gas than electricity for the majority of Americans.
I never boil water.
i drink coffee in the mornings tea and water throughout the day. i will rarely drink soda
Americans don’t drink tea, why would they need a kettle?
You know I'm in eastern Europe, right? What Arabs?
Euro trash complains we drive to much
Euro trash complains we use less power to heat our tea.
Euro trash complains we rule the world
>I am seeing a common theme here
Thst's not at all how electricity works. Jeebus
most often Americans have drip coffee machines. I personally just have a cold brew so I don’t even need hot water to make coffee. There are some people here who do french press or pour over but those people will, yes, have electric kettles.
>With coffee grounds
Wtf? That's disgusting.
To make ramen?
>home raided by FBI
>gets shot
Given that the heating plant will have access to gas lmao
literal 11/10, perfect woman, even her stupid mannerism are ok. That's how good she looks.
gas is much cheaper than electric in most countries as far as I know. However, the heat that goes from the stove into the kettle is less than the total heat produced by burning the gas. It's not 100% efficient.
Someone needs to do the math
more than half of the population drinks tea on a daily basis. mostly white people
I drink my coffee as expresso, once it is done I cool it down and drink it as a shot while black. The machine only uses 6 amps and it's not even that slow.
why would anyone want to boil water? interesting question... uhhh... let me see... tea... and... I don't know man. Why would anyone boil water?
Imagine turning on your kettle to boil water.
My Japanese water heater keeps water just below boiling, always on tap at the push of a button. It's fully vacuum sealed and insulated so it just sips power and keeps my water heater and ready at my whim.
Just buy a Tiger or Zojirushi brand water boiler and move into the current century. Why are yuropoors stuck in the stone age?
Why would i waste money on a piece of garbage that i will never use.
I rather use the money saved to buy more wire and flap disks for welding projects.
I understand it even if it is weird.
Teapot is after all a type of pot but it is something akin to not having a fork, it is so ingrained.
When one drinks a lot of tea or hot water based beverages like we do it comes in handy tho.
Yes? Here in white Europe we can buy energy from other countries when we run low.
this isn't true
Gay cuck government. Plus we use 240v, we just have the power split on the panel because most house hold items don't require more then 120v including your little hot water boiler.
>Uneducated American doesn't know how electricity works.
Well ain't that a surprise.
Say 230v is a hose while 120v is your kitchen sink. Both will fill a pot, a hose will do it faster, same amount of water is used.
You would just boil water in a pot when it's for cooking
Electric is way more efficient because the heating element is in the water.
>not true
lol, LOL.
The WEF would like a word with you for being so unsustainable.
Brits boil it in plastic-ridden electric kettles
I'm sorry to have to inform you of this, but coffee is not tea.
If you do it right, Scandinavian/Cowboy style it is the smoothest covefe ever.
You pour cold water over the cup and it all settles down.
Not much of a coffee enjoyer but it works like a charm each and every time.
>230v
japan uses 100v
why aren't you on metric power?
gas is cheaper than electric in america
I know I’m as stumped as you are
they didn't ask me or anyone I know
I'm sure the U.S. Tea Association just wants to pretend they're relevant.
this nigga thinks instant coffee is coffee grounds lmao
Plus, electric kettle shuts itself off. The gas kettle can burn down if you forget about it. Had a burned kettle at least 3 times in my life.
retarded bait thread. it grows abundantly in all the fields.
Is this bait?
Water boils after 1 minute in a microwave
Sorry but the tradeoff of safety just so I can boil water faster in a kettle is not worth it. I'll stick to microwaving my water.
We aren’t poor, so we have gas lines to cook with.
I can’t imagine having to rely on electricity for cooking. You poor soul.
KEK
Do you have brain damage how the fuck do you forget about shit you have on the stove.
I use a pour over filter, but that's just gross ASF to put the grounds IN the cup. It ain't coco.
Stop being a raging alcoholic/drug addict then. Seriously how the fuck do you burn down metal cooking ware other then passing out for several hours into a drug induced coma? Not just once, THREE times.
thats literally what it is, just dehydrated dumb ass
We have natural gas
Retards think it irradiates your water or something because they hear the word "radiation" and think of nuclear fission or Chernobyl or some shit.
Based Poland (never thought that I'd say this...)
Also, many African nations have superior Electric Grids.
Ok give the quick rundown. I'm 5 seconds in and this guys voice makes me want to cave his head in with a hammer.
We mostly don't use kettles.
