I got it in July at a friend’s wedding and had to stay in a hotel for ten days. It sucked balls for 3 days, second sickest I have felt in my life, and then it was just gone, as suddenly as it came. All in all I preferred it to those lingering colds that go on forever.
I also did notice that I felt retarded for weeks after. Long term memory was fine, short term was shot. So I’m sort of more inclined to believe the basket cases who claim they’ve had it for months or years.
Still more or less in the middle, there’s four more weeks of it.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but a friend of mine from college died suddenly from a heart attack yesterday. Was only 39. Yes, he wasn't in amazing shape, but he also didn't have any serious health issues like diabetes or anything. He literally was just posting online yesterday.

I’ve had the flu and this was quite a bit worse. If I’d been fat I might have worried but I mostly just slept for three days until the fever broke. I was a lot younger when I got the flu though.
