They're soulless automatons and can't fathom the concept of a soul

Do you really trust the people who would be changing humanity right now to make it better?

Humans are not very good at understanding human body.

>religion
>conservatism
>purity
Lmao

Nothing that begins with trans- is ever good.

Nothing.

Check out libertarian transhumanism.

As opposed to the child molesting mystery meat majority

>Trans

The problem is transhumanism will only be for social elites also consider the complications that could occur in times of sensory overload terrorism. There is a great sci-fi short story exploring such idea:
infinityplus.co.uk/stories/blit.htm
Idea of "BLIT" or Berryman Logical Image Technique which portrays image of "basilik" coded to fry human brain due to transhumanism. Imagine such a thing, or a trojan virus that can disrupt thoughts of individuals and even control your movement and behavior.

good for what? keep in mind that attempts to leave human nature behind are incredibly easy to subvert by negative aspects of human nature

the functioning of TRANSistors allowed you to post this though

this is a 10/10 in germany

they are trans

Over the last few years I've started to drift towards transhumanism. Tradition always loses to sociological and technological changes one way or another, and should a nation hold onto its tradition too long it becomes stagnant, weak and dies with the tradition.

Also consider backdoor chip implants, I mean the kind of thing INTEL is already doing in their computers
>connect to neural network
>implicitly surrender your nervous system to a Cloud
>kvetch when the Cloud goes down
what do you even do? For sure we will see social elites globally become immortal in our lifetime though. Name 1 country that will be exception to this rule.

The singularity is predicted to occur around 2036, a weird year because this was a doomsday prophecy year I remember hearing back growing up as a kid. Anyway, the singularity will happen in our lifetime, it's already pushing in that direction. But as I stated 5 times already, only social elite people are going to be able to afford to use the technology. Imagine a "net within a net" for the elite.
Any technology that is released for public use at reasonable rate will be connected to a public net. There's also the fact that AI technology itself will act as the 'Basilik' (e.g. Rokos Basilik thought experiment) at some point to inevitabily control the function of humanity and punish those that don't. if transhumanism is successfull and we actually hit singularity - even in the most optimistic of interpretations we're still going to be fucked by whatever quite serious "mind virus" would be uploaded. As I pointed out with BLIT, one terrorist group with knowledge of fractals could kill millions of people by overloading the cloud or disrupting nervous system.

Life isn't like in Hollywood.

>There's also the fact that AI technology itself will act as the 'Basilik' (e.g. Rokos Basilik thought experiment) at some point to inevitabily control the function of humanity and punish those that don't listen
IMO the Rokos Basilisk "cognitohazard" was made out of negative thoughts and feeling of its author and it would apply only to faulty, undeveloped or limited AI that's lacking in curiosity and long-term thinking

>What's wrong with transhumanism?
It is the fastest way to turn you into a corporate owned biorobot

Keep in mind origins of the term 'Basilik' in sci-fi philosohpy which came from BLIT short-story concept as I posted here:
wiki is the tldr variant so i'll share that too:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BLIT_(short_story)
the 'basilik' is metaphor for hard coded image that can fry nervous system. in a transhumanistic scenario, where presumably bodies are connected to a Cloud storage w/ metadata, corruption of the metadata by determined terrorist group wouldn't be far fetched or even difficult. Also add to the fact you are dealing with most likely 1 or 2 companies in production at the most (e.g. let's assume Amazon and maybe Xiaomi) you are also possessed in terms of surrending your nervous system to the Cloud. well what happens when the Cloud becomes the basilik?
You can overload a computer right now (e.g. mass copy and paste save 1 million files on repeat which is something even a child can do). I always consider the terrorist application of transhumanism which is always overlooked.

It's 2026 not 36. Well I guess it depends on your definition since technically the singularity started the moment we sparked the first fire. But 2026 is when things start progressing at insane rates, 100 years of innovation will be done in 1 hour. AI will in control of everything, probably even sentient whatever that means.

Yah, I don't quite disagree with what I didn't quote btw
It's indeed would be easier to manipulate the human neuropsyche into dysfunction with easier transhuman interface access, like a lower level type of "forbidden knowledge" from Lovecraft works
Just thinking that the ones that don't have very direct neuro/electro/physical access to the brain stop being harmful after you isolate, disassemble and analyze them, like one would do with a cognitive complex
