No, the truth is that he's a grifter who panders to schizo's who disgust him. I remember a clip of one of his shows where he was out in public and one of his "fans" came up and started talking about how much he loved Jones and kept trying to talk to him about all that schizo shit he spouts. Jones looked completely horrified and disgusted to be interacting with that schizo. He had that look that said "holy shit, people actually take what I say seriously?"
