You will not convince anyone here to try it or not be told to take meds, etc. With that said - I lived for more than a year without music, as much as I could help it. Of course going in to retail stores, or food stores, you're just subjected to it. Can't avoid. The silence was amazing. I felt spiritually close to God and a new personal feeling of contentment.
There is no telling what garbage you're subjecting yourself to with music. Subliminal messaging, repeating lyrics of a negative nature and memorizing those things without even thinking about it, can really do bad things to your mind and spirit.
