I have to quit because I'm..le depressed

>i have to quit because I'm..le depressed

How can working a cozy office job be stressful? My grandfather worked in a mine and he never took a mental health day off.

Seethe about it. I’m taking a me day

That's not how you get ahead in the workplace

the internet was a mistake

It's the times, user. More people are assholes in the office, more people are flogged to work shit hours. They have to listen to bullshit from an HR that doesn't represent them when they have a legitimate problem. Oh, and yes, we ARE more mentally coddled, I'll give ya that. But there's a fine line between being a fucking economic slave and being a tough bastard who pulls through because he needs to provide.
I worked in a casino for seven years before Covid. Might think it's cozy but most gamblers are fucking assholes and my lower back is shot from standing most of the shift in one place. Quitting was great.

I quit because my uncle at my age OWNED a 3 bedroom 1 bath house on a half acre plot with a stay at home wife and a 5 year old child while working part time at a gas station and I work 3 jobs while barely being able to afford rent and food on the table.

I quit because fuck you.

Nowadays getting ahead in the workplace usually equates to getting a minimal paybump for an assload of extra responsibilities, twenty more hours a week, work to take home, and losing the respect of your fellow-workers-turned-subordinates thanks to having to go to corporate managerial indoctrination seminars and cracking the whip on them.

>worked in a mine and he never took a mental health day off.
because he wasnt allowed to, simple as
unemployment is too lenient these days
If your grandfather took a mental health day he'd probably be completely fucked; his boss wouldn't care and there wouldn't be any way to eat next week without a job

faggots today allow their employees to do shit like this
and if they get fed-up, the employees just quit and scam Unemployment a little longer

With the young-worker pool steadily filling up with these useless losers, it becomes almost insane to try to replace them... because 7/10 times you'll be replacing them with someone just as retarded
we've reached a point where most employers would rather keep a shit employee who at least recognizes the job than to train someone new every week and hope one of them is able to slip their head out of their own ass

I’m gen Z and I’ve walked out of like 10 different jobs

Working has been a scam for decades, you are being exploited

We're crashing this boomer/genx kiked society
with no survivors

>I’m gen Z
i promise thats all you had to say
we could have guessed the rest

Your grandfather had a wife, children and owned a home. Having a purpose, like being a father, is hugely important to male mental health. Otherwise you're just toiling away in a world alone.

Based. I'm at three so far. Boomers and Xoomers can seethe while they wait 40 minutes for their big Mac because I walked out at the worst possible moment during a rush

You pretend to pay me, I pretend to work

>cozy office job
I would rather work in a coal mine than have to spend all day interacting with the bug people.

>worked in a mine and he never took a mental health day off.
Well no shit, it's not a job that taxes you mentally. Inversely people if office jobs go in to work even if they hurt their back or leg is in a cast because that's not relevant to their job.

I'm gen z btw. Also I am trans btw

I’ve let some good people down, I usually only last 8 months or so. I’m amazed on the willpower you normies have. I would kill myself if I had to work full time year round.

>How can working a cozy office job be stressful?
It really depends on the culture of the company. Some companies essentially view their employees as “disposable” and make them work 60-80 hour weeks until they’re completely burned out. Tesla and SpaceX are notorious for this.

work is genuinely soul-crushing in 95% of cases, especially entry-level work
people without families or goals or prospects of upward mobility have no reason to tough it out

>How can working a cozy office job be stressful? My grandfather worked in a cotton field and he never took a mental health day off.
ok

The choice is a job that crushes your soul vs a job that kills your back, sometimes part of the soul too. Or you can counter fuck the state as much as possible with all dem programs while having a side gig.

When I stay at a job for more than 2 years or so I get severe anxiety. While I'm there I do my best to crush the job I'm doing and take on OT when available so it's not a matter of not wanting to work. I think it's something to do with having to be around the same people and keep telling the same old stories, in addition to becoming burnt-out while trying to keep up with rising expectations. The more I'm around coworkers I feel more distant from them, you think it would be the opposite since they become friends. I digress though, it's paradoxical alienation. Once I put in my notice this anxiety goes away completely, I take a 2-3 months off and enjoy life and then start the cycle again, sometimes at the same place. The modern workplace quickly loses its luster if you're not desperate and living beyond your means.

>based and redpilled

This. I worked in the same job for 10 fucking years, and I got fired because my boss developed feelings for me and I didn't return them. She got pissed and started writing me up for the dumbest shit so she could fire me. Come the fuck on.

This. You need to tongue the anus of your boss, whilst lying for HR and being a good co-worker (interaction; you can't sit there and work; you need to socialise too!)
Pick up that phone, Chud, Kathy --short for Katherine lol we're so quirky around here teehee best workspace evar!!1-- is picking up sandwiches for all of us, which we all do once a year!
Fuck off, 'tard.

You have autism. Not an insult. I mean that as an actual diagnosis

Same, but I start to fray at about the one-year mark.
Damn, bros, why are we so cursed?
