More than 10 tons of dead fish have washed up coming from the Oder river on the border between Germany and Poland. Officials suspect that a toxic substance is to blame, but have yet to determine what it is.
Poland has found methylene contamination, while Germany has found traces of mercury, but followed up by saying it may have been due to large amounts of salt in the water.
Gonna give you a rundown >beginning of 2022: company Jack-pol, specializing in paper production gets cut off from local sewage system, because sewage they were dumping was just too toxic for sewage treatment plants to deal with >CEO of the company is father in law to prominent polish politician Jacek Sasin of PiS (Law and Order) political party >Polish gov agency "polish waters" (created somewhat recently by Piss) gives company Jack-pol permission to dump sewage into Oder river >end of March current year dumping begins, multiple accounts of local fisherman about dead fish and chemical smell coming from the river get completely ignored >about 4 weeks ago mass dieoff of fish and other aquatic creatures begins, ruling party trying to silence the reports and sweep shit under the rug >current day: toxicity of oder reaches such levels that literally everything in the river dies, Germans get involved, ruling party still silent about entire incident, state television gives catastrophe entire 1,5 min of time during news segment
Colton Gutierrez
I expect a gold processing plant to do that level of toxicity, but a paper mill? Wtf are they cooking in there?
Nathaniel Rodriguez
They're probably printing bose einstein fluid ghosts like in that movie Spectral.
I knew there'd be some insight here. Media blackout.
Andrew Howard
what's the latest? are germs chimping out yet?
Jack Moore
>>Polish gov agency "polish waters" (created somewhat recently by Piss) gives company Jack-pol permission to dump sewage into Oder river Wanna bet that "Polish Waters" was created specifically to allow Jack-pol to dump their shit? Under the previous system, we had regional water management boards, and these were difficult to control (too many people to bribe).
I think they just dumped years worth of shit. Germans are saying that there was a 30cm wave just before the fish started dying. This also suggests attempt at cover up, i.e dumping reservoir waters in an attempt to dilute.
Parker Rodriguez
You only have to bribe one to dump it anyway. Oder looks pretty big so if you dump it in one region it's gonna go through the entire river.
Great thread guys, not many replies because bots, feds and retards don't care about issues that matter.
Brody Mitchell
Nigga they dumped chemicals into a river and 10 tons of fish washed up on the shore.
Nolan Wood
>laugha at shitskins and their ganges river >turns out you have exactly the same firmware installed oh no

Oy vey it's another holocarp.

Cry me a river leftoid.

What the hell is a paper company doing with so much mercury? Need some tree anons get in here and clear up the paper making process becayse where tf does mercury come in?
Asher Lopez
So you’re going straight into 1990s Russian Oligarch structures Marcin? Kick these fuckers out asap
Joshua Perez
m8 we're already there powertripping dorftrottels everywhere
Military user here. There is no contamination. Army is being moved west to anex Germany. France will do the same, using a similar dry river fake news as a cover for mobilisation.
so how do they plant to fix the mess? Will they continue to ignore it? MSM so far has been rather quiet and is only running special reports on the rhine river running low but this looks like a disaster that could kill a lot of people.
Bleaching or processing the paper probably, they "used" to use mercury for filtering and producing bleach, mercury byproduct is coming from somewhere.

Something something vaccine something something
Jaxson Scott
have they found out from where it started yet? Poland looks pretty fucked if they really managed to poison all of the oder.
Dylan Ortiz
It just sounds like they're using 'offshore' companies to dump waste to me.
Camden Gutierrez
German news reports say they found exceeding levels of mercury at some points, but they aren't sure yet if that's what killed the fish. They also speculate that the current drought might have contributed through low-water levels.
Politicians in the area seem mostly pissed that the Poles didn't warn them, even though they knew weeks in advance
Oliver Robinson
It also means the federal government in Poland is responsible for fucking up fishery.
Carter Scott
they don't, that's the best part or just give away some money, like they usually do also possible. multiple shady companies import toxic waste from western europe and just dump it wherever they like or simply burn it. it's been like that for a few years. maybe this time someone dumped a cistern or two into this river, who knows
