What if the government gave you a 200-500 dollar tax credit to buy your own insurance?

would that be socialized medicine, or just good government?

i'll just take the $500, thanks

>would that be socialized medicine
definitionally, no
>just good government
depends on your perspective, I would approve of this though I can see massive potential for waste and failure.

thats per month, btw

>tax credit
I don't pay taxes
SSDI baby!

This. Also, OP is a faggot shill for implying """FREE SHIT!!!!""" is actually free.

doesn't your employer just take the money out of your paycheck anyway?

I would spend it on weed ayy lmao

Then insurance companies would charge 5-700 more. Fuck you.

>l for implying """FREE SHIT!!!!""" is actually free.
When did he imply this? The first person to use the term "free" in this thread is you.

Yeah

It would increase the price of insurance that’s worth a damn.

What if the government let me keep my property taxes and let me pay for my kids education at the place of my choosing?

This is fun, let's do another one.

and if your self employed, aren't you required to buy your own insurance under current federal law?

so your saying a federal tax credit would give you less freedom than forcing you to get your insurance through your employer or negotiate with the ensuing regional monopolies as someone who is self employed?

Then who's paying for the """tax credit"""?

>Im going to let you keep some of the money you worked for
>I will call this a tax credit. I am good government

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but having to deal with a handful of insurers who negotiate with large businesses is less competitive than having each individual choose their own, isn't it?

I thought the free market was good?

i'm not saying its ideal, but wouldn't you have more freedom and better care with this option than under the current system?

and hasn't it ever occurred to you that if you are sick and unable to work, you might not be able to pay your monthly premiums?

It would be massively inadequate

Absolutely this. Same thing happens with low income housing. Here in St Petersburg, FL the city council refused to cap housing costs but then decided to use funds for low income housing to "make up for increased rents". They did that up until they ran out of funds. Of course it just got pocketed by landlords.
Jews gonna jew.

why would they? Its not the current system. If you don't like your insurer, you can walk across the street and get another one.

you could just make up the difference out of pocket, if you want to be that heavily insured?

J U D E N

>what if government pays for 1 month of your health insurance
>but not really because it's just a tax deduction

I'll just take my pre-obama health insurance rates and everything will be good.

what if they taxed you, and then printed money

"If the government gave you money, which it got by stealing by force from its subjects, for xyz, would that be understood as a socialist practice?"

Are you, and I cannot stress this enough, retarded?

So your saying you like the current system where you are assigned an insurer by your employer like a medieval fiefdom?

Wouldn't you rather have the freedom to choose your own, knowing they are going to take money out of your paycheck to pay for the cheapest insurance they can get?

so you believe taxation is theft? do you think people will take you seriously if you espouse that belief publicly?

The taxpayers? Just like they pay for every other credit. Is this an attempt at a gotcha? Most people are aware that money has to come from somewhere, the question is whether that's a good use of it or not.
