WHY DOES THIS MATTER? Because the IRS is outside the normal rules of law and has sweeping power. Because they are hiring 87,000 new agents with the major duties of "Carrying and using deadly force". Because EVEN IF completely innocent, an audit is a lengthy time of psychological stress and annoyance. Tax lawyers cost 100+$ an hr at times, making them impossible for the common man. Unlike with criminal trials, there is no support for the common man in this.
Tl;dr: Democrats use the IRS to target political enemies with massive over enforcement. They also primarily target religious minorities that don't vote hard blue.

It's that band that runs through Georgia above Florida. That is where the conservative church blacks live. Rare. The other location is the Mississippi river which runs north through Louisiana and into Miss. Along the river are old, religious black communities.
