The old days of 1 vs 1 boxing is gone, the only times i've witnessed 1 vs 1 in the recent few years were sparring sessions in the gym. People nowadays do not fight fair, even KOTS looks like a legit martial arts club compared to what the fuck is going on in the streets.

Sure not denying that, i do boxing myself occasionally. But i also have witnessed stabbings in the recent days and even if you're iron mike, a dude running up on you with a knife, waving it manically near your vital parts like neck, breast or even your back (lungs/kidneys) will make all martial arts useless against it

I like the slavzone bareknuckle boxing leagues because they at least get some fighters with very good pedigrees like Vladimir Tuinov, Denys Berinchyk etc.
A funny aside about Berinchyk: Everyone remembers Paulie Malignaggi vs Artem Lobov in which Lobov won a decision and everyone clowned on boxing for a minute. Rah rah mma superior. A year or so later, without any publicity, Artem Lobov faced Denys Berinchyk in a bareknuckle contest, and took such a beating from the smaller but far more talented Berinchyk that he quit.
