((we)) simply can never know the singular root cause of a problem as complex as this, theres just way too many variables and no single constant in the form of a religious or socioeconomic subgroup of individuals that it could be reduced to.
Zachary Wood
Everying is a scarce resource, more people=more demand for coffee=coffee becomes more scarce=coffee gets more expensive.
And yeah, the money printing dumb mutts fell in love with

The digital banking system. You don't even have to print money anymore, you can just add as much money as you want.

But more people also means (in theory) greater overall productivity. Otherwise the "price" of a loaf of bread should have skyrocketed a thousand fold over human history - but this didn't happen because even with more mouths to feed, there are also more people (and also technological advances, but this is not critical) contributing to the systems that make the bread.
It's literally just money printing, handouts that make nobody want to work, and supply chain issues.

This is by far the doubest shit said in this thread, the money is real, and is back by the full millitary and industrial might of the united states.

In theory, not all products can easily be "scaled up" and produced with simply an increase in the avilable labor force, eventually you get diminishing returns.
You are right, printing money is the number one cause for inflation, but not the only one, and very recent supply issues are totally irelevant to your graph

i dont even drink coffe shlomo. Also im sure most people on here understand supply and demand economics. Coffee is still not a scarce ressource- oil on the other hand is.
Kevin Williams
Coffee in 1970 came from mostly one or two places in the world. Now it's grown fucking everywhere, with different blends, roasts, and drying processes. Demand is through the roof and people have a more expensive taste for quality coffee.
I'm just saying this is a really bad example of inflation. You might try a silver dollar and compare it to the value of the dollar.
