There are indeed many fake videos/pictures and misperceptions of the real thing indeed. But some countries posses greater knowledge and high definition images/videos and maybe even physical evidence of these objects or extraterrestrial life. The public deserves to know, have access to whatever is already known about them but then it might do more harm to the majority of the public than any good.
