AHAHAHAAHAHAHA

Because the pension Ponzi scheme is too lucrative to give up.

Wubbalubba dubdubs

253k average 401k balance at age 55 to 60....
You need about 1mm to retire comfortably right now with social security at age 65.
No wonder we have so many people working until they die, or living like total poor in their old age.
Perhaps we should have kept the pensions and had audit requirements and other protections.

Super is the gayest Kike scam.

It's a simple demonstration of how savings + compound interest builds wealth.

What's the american retirement plan? Become an hero?

Anons interested in building wealth should read this book.

"protections" are what allowed them all to be pillaged

Because they have the same thing, but it's called Social Security and there's also 401(k) and IRA accounts.
Social Security is a 12.5% tax on your pay, split 50% between you and your employer. Your benefits from the scheme depend upon how much you paid in over your career and you cannot claim anything until you have paid in 10-years worth of contributions. (Burgers will benefit from the tens of thousands I've paid in, but will never get anything from because I only worked a few years there)
401(k) and IRA are super-like accounts where you can make pre-tax contributions up to a certain limit each year. 401(k) is typically done through your employer, which may also make a matching contribution up to a certain percentage of your salary. Unlike our super though, you can access the money in those accounts before retirement.

It's just an excuse to have us hand over money to kikes for investment so they can make themselves rich

Industry super funds are run only to profit members.

Lmao u serious nigga?

Mini tax havens for the rich.

It's simple have no debt and you have no interest paid and I hold my own money. Then you can take your credit and loans to hell with you.

>You need about 1mm to retire comfortably right now with social security at age 65.
God I hope I die young.

Every US worker has a 401(k) if they choose to contribute.

Yes, I'm deadly serious.
>Mini tax havens for the rich
Exactly the same as super here.
They're a fucking rort for unions. Our super industry is the most expensive in the world, and wouldn't it be when it's a government-mandated thing?

Why would you need 1 million to retire when you're 65?Why are you spending like a 20 year old when you have a house and wife and adult children?

>unions
>jews

Confirmed for non-super Boomers.

Self-manage it then.
Nobody is making you use their fund either.

give us the tik-tok version please user

Lol. I've been putting $1.2k into MAIN (60%) and VTI (40%) for the last 11 years. My dividend income already pays for rent and groceries and I'm only 29 years old. I don't understand how you all fuck this up or need some sort of stupid plan or tax advantaged account where you gotta be 58 to draw profit from. Unfuck your lives.

I’m Aussie. My work contributes something crazy like 18%. Teaching Union. $100 a month membership here. Does come with income protection for like 18 months if I get sacked. From memory union fees were $100 a year in Aus.
My Club Plus super is doing alright from my RSL days. No idea how to access my teaching stuff after like 8years.
