Men often wonder why women worry about their looks all the time when they're not bad looking, why they worry about their weight when they're not fat, why they get plastic surgery when they were looking 'good enough', etc. - but this comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of female sexual psychology. Women aren't interested in the vast majority of men, and therefore they don't care about getting attention from the vast majority of men. Most people nowadays date serially. So they'll stay with the same partner for a while and then leave them for someone else. Most of all women, leave their partners if they're under the impression they could do better. And due to serial dating, a few high tier men are enough to satisfy a whole lot of average and above average women.
