To their credit, actual combat arms in the US military have been used and abused more than any other countries' soldiers these past two decades, and its mainly gen x and millenials, two generations who dont even get the acknowledgement that they have survived through the worst times in America. I was once in some mall in USA and a couple of dudes in military uniform were walking through it. Many people told them "thank you for your service", many boomers shook their hands and some stores gave them free shit. I always thought that was weird.
