I just saw a couple videos on Hollywood and the McCarthy trial and want to ask 4chans opinion on all of it I suppose
So what do we think of Joseph McCarthy?

i don’t have enough data
Almost everyone he accused of being a Communist was eventually revealed to have been working on behalf of the Soviet Union.
>So what do we think of Joseph McCarthy?
I think the same thing as the Salem Witch Trials
didn't go far enough
With hindsight, we see that he was right.
He was a trigger-happy anti-communist. He was actually pretty good with about getting subversive types. The most anti-semitic man to actually do something since Calhoun.
He was right about nearly everything. Many of his personal documents that were supposed to be archived never made it to the Library of Congress. Read pic related.
The fact that US state secrets did get leaked to the Soviets proves that he was right in his concern about Soviet infiltration.
pat mccarran was more based than mccarthy, but nobody ever talks about it
The only information I learned from him was from the school system and I thought he was a villain. After everything I know now, without any additional research, my inclination is that he was more based than we were led to believe
Hunted the communist infiltrators and sympathizers in the US government and Hollywood, based.
fucked over by Jews, happens every-time
Venona Project.
Literally everybody who accused him of leading a witch hunt turned out to be a commie
we need him back
History proved him right.
He was right about everything, but the Jews in media defamed him so badly that even conservatives denounce him to this day.
Watch Stefan Molyneux's "The Truth About McCarthyism". It's one of the few good things he has put out.
Yep. The Rosenbergs and Hiss were instructed by the Kremlin on how to best remove him. It worked.
i don’t even know if the founding fathers were “good guys”
McCarthy was 1,000% correct - the Roosevelt and Truman administrations were riddled with Soviet Communist agents.
He was a good guy
He was vindicated by the Venona Project, but it also revealed that he missed the president's secretary and many others.
What's more telling, though, is the kvetching done by Hollywood, demonizing him to this day.
Really makes you think what other events were blown out of proportion...
>turned out to be a kike
ftfy
>"the greatest book since the bible."
>-Ann Coulter
dude might be based but associating a name like ann coulter to him is like shooting yourself on the foot. maybe it was on purpose, since everything america does is pozzed as fuck
