Its based and creates generatonal wealth. My father worked his entire life as a carpenter and saved a decent amount of money. After reading a book that I highly recommend (The good earth) He used it to purchase a small cottage in a beach town that he fixed up and now rents. After he retired and my Stepmom's job moved remote, they sold their house (Again something he had fixed up with a little help from me) and was able to use that to buy them both a house and another small house that he rents. now he doesnt have to worry about any income and they are talking about getting a third house. They are leaving everything to me so that I can continue to grow their flagship hopefully into something that benefits my kids and grandkids for generations.

Small Landlord's create opportunities for people to live in a space that is basically their own, that might be normally out of their price range, in an area that offer's great opportunities for employment / education.
