Give me your best arguments against anti-meat environmentalism

In a few days I'm going to meet a group of vegans, some of whom really believe the meme of meat being bad for the environment. I would like to convince them of otherwise since I believe they only know the common misconceptions that are often repeated without further investigation on the part of the listener (e.g. meat consumes too much water, too much land, forests are devasted to plant cattle feed, etc.).

Cows and other ruminants that Homo sapiens eat do not graze on land that is arable, i.e., soil/environment suited for growing vegetables.

Meat does not contain bug skeleton (chitin), something which Homo sapiens cannot digest and which isn't good for us.

Meat does contain all of the following, which Homo sapiens evolved to need in their daily diets (and which most don't get enough of):

>B12
>Carnitine
>Carnosine
>Choline
>Creatine
>Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
>Glutathione
>Heme iron (which is easily assimilated by Homo sapiens body, unlike iron in vegetables or other sources)
>Taurine
>Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol)
>Vitamin K2

they turn cellulose into proteins and fat.
like do you grasp the aboslute power of their ruminating bellies?
they turn cellulose into proteins and fat.
let that sink in, nigga.

the most convincing argument for me was that human teeth aren't designed for meat. of course i still eat meat though

nevermind i read your post wrong, but be prepared to counter this one

>arrange countries by life expectancy
>notice animal products are consumed widely in all of them

Why are you meeting up with them?

look into regenerative agricolture, it always takes cattle to unfuck monocoltures

So you will meet up with people who are the embodiment of your ideological antithesis. When left to their own devices, they have not only created a meaningless imaginary problem, but have solved it in the most comically idiotic way possible.

Tell me, why save them?
Why would you want them to be strong and healthy when they are from birth on too stupid to figure out the truth on their own? If anything, you should be encouraging them to fall deeper into their fallacies, egg them on to further radicalize off the deep end. The more they engage in their false ideas, the more they will suffer.
Make them suffer for being wrong, make them reap what they sowed.

Source on that one?

Very easy to counter. Whales are toothless yet carnivores. Moreover humans have eyes in the front, not at the side like herbivores do. Our digestive system is also much closer to carnivores than herbivores. Bile and stomach acid (which in healthy people is almost 2 in pH) are other dead giveaways we are not supposed to avoid meat.

I don't think environmentalists are vegans because of health though (some will even castrate themselves for it), I will focus on why vegetarianism is worse for the environment (massive need of import, water heavy crops like almonds, etc.)

Yeah Hong Kong is the top 1 in both life expectancy and animal products consumption

youtube.com/watch?v=sGG-A80Tl5g&t=546s

just watch this from the beginning.

>canines
used for fighting, display, killing
>human teeth
all ridged and cutting, not meant for grinding unless you want to break them
>small mouth
hands, tools, big brain = smaller and less pronounced facial feature compared to animals

that's just about the mouth, everything in the human body is geared towards hunting and killing

As fate would have it...

>Tell me, why save them?
Because many of them are rich of high-ranking civil servants like judges and ministry secretaries

Send them this.
youtube.com/watch?v=pN4LT_f86AU

the pic i sent doesn't alledge we are herbivores, it says we are merely """frugivores""" which prefer fruit and seeds with ocasionally eating meat. not true omnivores like pigs.

our closest relative the chimp eats mainly fruits, seeds, nuts, leaves, flowers and insects. we aren't herbivores but our teeth aren't well adapted to our current diet

This homie gets it
Vegetarians for religious and ethical
Reasons should be praised but those
Of us who chose to eat meat shouldnt
Be persecuted.

>Because many of them are rich of high-ranking civil servants like judges and ministry secretaries
Natural selection, let them die of Cobalt deficiency.

It does nothing. The "change the world one person at a time" "vote with your dollar" mode of environmental action has brought us to mass extinction. Had we, 20 or 30 years ago, sopped the industrial polluters from dumping their carbon into the air, we would have been able to reduce the warming to 2 degrees or so and avoided the mass extinction. Now we are going to heat up way past 4 degrees and estimates are that less than 2 billion of the 8 billion people alive will make it. Say goodby to 6 of the 8 people you know and enjoy the steak.

Faggot.

youtube.com/watch?v=Fi0q0O4V5Qs&ab_channel=REBISMUSIC

Monkeys also aren't "frugivores" they're omnivores, they eat insects and their own poop (which qualifies as an animal product)

>just two more weeks until the earth is ablaze!
Yeah just like New York was to be underwater by 2020.

youtube.com/watch?v=y71BAvQCiWY

depends on the monkey

i believe it's bad "environementally" but meat consumption is necessary for your health. The environemental consequences are very unclear in my opinion. Deforestation happens in south america but there are so many trees growing in the northern hemisphere that the forested area in the whole world is actually increasing. higher CO2 levels increase vegetation, which many find surprising for some reason. Photosynthesis functions with CO2, it's basically more food for them. I also believe the environemental thing is a religion with it's own sins and behaviour you have to have in order to be a good, moral person. The science is unclear. Tje world has been much hotter, we're technically living in an ice age and the consequences of the rise in temperature are based on models and theories which are not a good scientific method for prediction. The rise in sea level will also not kill you and it happens so slowly it's nearly not noticable. Venice has lived with their high water level for centuries and still stands. The ceasing of warm water currents like the gulf stream is supposed to cool the northern hemisphere and disrupt eco-systems but the reality is that noone knows how bad it will affect us or even if it's bad and when it would cease. It's so much uncertainity and speculation that doesn't warrant the conviction of these people. Faced by these realities my health (and the declining health of all people) is an actual important reason to continue eating good meat without hormones and anti-biotics in them.

This. A lot of the land used by cattle isn't good for crops. Livestock also eat a lot of the leftover foodstock from being processed that people wouldn't want to eat.

It's blown way out of proportion and people often don't know, like in a religion, what the science actually says, what the consequences are supposed to be etc. I would recommend you ask them for specifics on why the environement and the human way of life is in danger if some forrests are declining and don't feel contempt with vague answers like the "disruption of eco systems" I can assure you they can't answer, they only know how to point out the superficial, immediate results of the meat industry together with some emotional videos of animal torture which every humane person finds disgusting. If you really try to understand them they will fold, because they believe their convictions are founded on a stronger basis and have never questioned themselves or been really questioned in their circles. That's what i have experienced. If they have arguments that would convince you, then let yourself be convinced. Don't go in there with an attack mindset.

Humans who try living as frugivores almost always have teeth problem

I can't let this one pass because those rich leftists and judges are full on with the Agenda 2030, they think they're doing the world a favor by restricting animal product consumption. The problem is that this would be a direct attack on my health which I cannot just accept (medicine still hasn't figured out Weston price was right, so I can't depend on medical exceptions to get cheap meat and dairy in the future).

>closest relative
doesn't mean shit, hippo's closest living relatives are dolphinoids
>chimp eats mainly fruits, seeds, nuts, leaves, flowers and insects
they eat meat and hunt whenever they can, unless you mean monkeys, then you clearly don't know what are you talking about
>our teeth aren't well adapted to our current diet
you mean standard american diet meaning plant based with some atrazine-filled meat here and there? agree, but it's so self evident to people who mainly eat meat that that's way more easy to eat, digest and pass that clearly it means you don't know what you're talking about and are just repeating stuff you heard/read somewhere

>would have been able to reduce the warming to 2 degrees or so and avoided the mass extinction
This has to do with the diminishing magnetic field, not with carbon
arstechnica.com/science/2021/02/study-blames-earths-magnetic-field-flip-for-climate-change-extinctions/
deeptow.whoi.edu/geomagf.html

slight correction tho:
their guts biome does that, and incidentally, the same if present in humans would result in a smelly and painful death

Humans have eaten meat for the entire length of their existence. Being vegetarian or vegan is entirely new to the timespan of humans (200 years at most?) and that makes it unnatural.

Have you watched? It's pretty good, watch it all though

youtube.com/watch?v=SdrhpThqlCo

>trying to argue logic with muh feelings

the american state governments are selling farmland to saudis so they can grow water hungry alfalfa to be shipped back to their homeland to feed their own livestock. Even if you take out the feeding of livestock that has a huge environmental impact

Cows taste good, anti-meat movements are funded by the same kikes that want us in pods...

Move out of the city, buy from a local farmer. They can barely keep people from shitting in mailboxes in front of the police department, you think they will count cows in the Pampa?
All of this is just ideology spinning out of control, once the US economy shits the bed your gay little progressive elite will have more pressing topics than figuring out how to feed omnivores on a herbivore diet.

youtube.com/watch?v=CQ0BxhMfijg&ab_channel=REBISMUSIC

fuck do people really enjoy this garbage? No wonder leftist are mentally ill.

>they eat meat and hunt whenever they can
it's still only a small portion of the diet
>you mean standard american diet meaning plant based with some atrazine-filled meat here and there?
well mostly the grains that we eat. we evolved to eat meat but we never ate it as much as we do today

this was all playing devils advocate though, we evolved to eat meat and that fueled our intelligence
>just repeating stuff you heard/read somewhere
implying that's not what you are doing? you didn't make any of these discoveries

I always put it on hold, I need to watch this one too
youtube.com/watch?v=sGG-A80Tl5g

I downloaded his retort to vegans trying to debunk his video too

-Eliminating all meat and eating ze bugs will lead to protein starvation.

-We've tried this before under the name Lysenkoism. It killed millions and millions of people by way of famine

-We've tried this before under the name Mao's Great Leap Forward. It killed millions and millions of people by way of famine.

-We tried this recently with Sri Lanka. They were the WEF's highest rated nation in ESG. They are now bankrupt, in complete civil collapse, and are currently experiencing mass starvation.

-We recently tried this in Venezuela. People are now hunting for food with spears and rocks like cavemen due to mass starvation.

-We're trying this now in the Netherlands by reducing 30% of farms and stealing land from people. This is going to result in the deaths of thousands of people.

-We in a global food shortage right now. Why is reducing food produced going to help? Or do they believe that genocide is the only way to save the climate?

Those would be my opening points.

Yeah then wondering why they are on fire is a good start...

You sure are gullible and misinformed but so what . . . it's pointless to give a shit anymore. Enjoy your steak.

A recent law passed that requires tractors to have license plates. I foresee much more nonsense in the future geared towards controlling farming and herding

There used to be 60 million Buffalo and I'm pretty sure it was fine.

youtube.com/watch?v=6T0bn377RuQ

I eat meat
now fuck off

the best way to keep cattle in an organic matter is by necessity the best way to have a functioning ecosystem
>silvopastures
>grazing
mechanical interactions between grazers and plants
>lowers pests numbers
>prevent ground-proximity infestations in trees
>more organic matter in the soil
>more soil stability
need more water for cows?
water management
>slowing down existing water sources
>rain catchment groundworks
>more water in the ground
>more green
>more food for animals
>less water wasted for crops for shit tier food, both for humans and cattle
look the numbers on those, it's a HUGE waste, way bigger than for cattle

Only 15% ? The American people are 85% fucking retarded?

They’re right, user. But obviously not for the most often-cited reason, le CO2 is bad meme. That’s likely the angle they’ll take, and there’s plenty of data to support that increased CO2 is benign, even helpful.
But they’re still right, the vast majority of cleared forest is used for livestock pastureland, or farms growing corn and onions as feed for them. It’s difficult to overestimate the importance of the role large, unbroken forests play regarding environmental health.
They’d also be right if they told you that 90+% of cleared farmland is used for growing feed for livestock, while some meat promoters like to argue that vegans are contributing to the problem more. Obviously false, since vegans eat plants, while nonvegans eat animals that eat plants. It’s an incredibly inefficient energy conversion process. We’re all better off being vegan. It’s the optimal diet for humans. And it doesn’t poison your body and soul like unnecessary meat consumption does.

Haha what an idiotic post, every pre civilization society eats meat, did no one tell them about the stupid fucking teeth argument? LOL

Calm your tits, a german farmer has to graduate from law school to even comprehend the regulations on egglaying, you're decades behind on the schedule, and lack the money and expertise to escalate further.

fucking humans are bad for the environment. if it wasn't for us the whole meat industry wouldn't exist.

oh yeah libtards expel more hot air than any other species

>I also believe the environemental thing is a religion with it's own sins and behaviour you have to have in order to be a good, moral person.
They call people who have no first-hand knowledge but disagree with them, "deniers" (the opposite of "believers"). I'll believe global warming is something I should be concerned about and want to sacrifice for as soon as there is a mass sell-off of beach front property with few buyers and the majority of climate pundits and scientists call enmasse for an immediate halt ro mass immigration from the third world (many times lower carbon footprint) to the first.

Consider the fact that even if you don't agree with the magnetic field theory of climate change, the magnetic field inversion will happen eventually.

Scientists still know almost nothing about it and are constantly realizing it's "faster than expected"
earth.com/news/earths-magnetic-field-shifts-ten-times-faster-than-expected/

What is known is that this would destroy the electric grid. Environmentalists want to replace everything petroleum based to an electric grid. Do you see the problem we would face?

By the way, the standard american diet is plant based
ers.usda.gov/webdocs/charts/81865/loss-adjusted_availability_of_u.s._calories_by_food_group_fed-01.png

This is true. Humans are physiologically adapted to consume a diet of primarily fruit and leafy greens. Be like John Rose, the most awesomely based person alive today, raw vegan for over 20 years.
