adjust your requirement on how you define friendship. many long lasting friendships, like childhood ones, do not need this since grown over time, but do break if the thesis of friendship is really tested in adult life. childhood friendship is defined by other parameters than of adults it seems.
friendship is about trust, not about same everything. if you cant trust you will have hard time gaining friendships in adultlife or any relationships. children trust per default thats why its so easy to make friends but that doesnt mean that trust stays in reality or grows with time.
