I recognize the undercarriage design - forklifts work the same way. Its basically a giant flat shield with little wheels sticking out, a lot like those kids' shoes with the wheel in back... but reversed. If that front wheel falls into a pothole, it'll fall an inch and the plate surrounding will hit the road. Push forward, awful scrape sound, maybe some chunked up concrete. No big deal.
