Why are Gen-X'ers in the US still getting in legal trouble? People are supposed to 'age out' of criminal behavior by their mid/late-30's, but many X'ers continue to behave immature well into their 40's and 50's. Why is this? Apparently a disproportionate share of America's homeless population also comes from Gen-X. Why are they ending up this way despite having 4+ decades of wisdom and life experience?

The traditional definition of 'Gen-X' is people born 1965 to 1981. 1982 became the 'Millennial' generation because people born in 1982 graduated from school in the year 2000 (hence, the new millennium).
