>Director of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Siberian Branch Alexander Shiplyuk has been arrested on high treason charges, the institute’s scientific director Vasily Fomin told TASS on Friday.
>The institute’s chief research fellow Anatoly Maslov was arrested on high treason charges on June 27
>On June 30, a Novosibirsk court sanctioned the arrest of another scientist - Dmitry Kolker of the Institute of Laser Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Siberian Branch. The man had the fourth stage cancer but was taken from a private clinic to Moscow’s Lefortovo detention center, where he died on July 2.
3 noteworthy scientists, all arrested for treason in a fairly short time span. Doesn't seem like a coincidence.

It's fine, they all got wiped out shortly afterwards anyways
Loving the collective meltdown of ukie public figures over their country's exposure of using human shields. When are they going to make the hospital occupier of Severdodonetsk?
Ahhh an oldie but a goodie, they've posted pictures of that downed helicopter since. Both Russians and Ukrainians.
The Russians posted a video of their guys getting off an identical helicopter right next to where the other one was blown up. The Ukies just took some pics saying 'downed Russian helicopter destroyed by TB2'.
No mention in the article of what the specifics were, just some stuff about 'operational events' at the research institute where he was arrested, which in context just look like it was a police raid on the institute.
That would be my guess, but the proximity of 3 guys (all from the Russian Academy of Science's Siberian branch) makes me think it might have been a group of people working together. There may be reports of more scientists getting arrested or 'disappearing'.

Anyone else got any more ukie fanfic? "No, this isn't totally the ghost of Kyiv all over again! "Clowns
Until Kherson is taken? Or has it finally settled in that ukies aren't taking it.

The Russian Armed Forces have lost 200 THOUSAND PEOPLE!
A text about the deplorable state of affairs in the Russian Armed Forces got on the Internet, it is claimed that these are excerpts from the report of the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov to President Putin.
It is indicated that the report was made on July 29 and allegedly angered the president. In particular, it was about the low staffing of the ranks of the Armed Forces and the losses of almost 200 thousand people.
The theses from Gerasimov's report were published by the Russian Telegram channel, noting that "we understood that everything was not going well, but so much...".
Here is the text published on the Web:
"— The staffing of the Armed Forces remains at the level of 43-48%, mobilization is desperately needed; — Losses among military personnel — more than 191 thousand killed and wounded; — More than 90% of volunteers from the fifth wave of volunteering have already been killed, wounded or deserted; — Medicine is working at the limit, the seriously injured are unable to be treated and dying from wounds sustained in battle; — Statistics on missing persons are not kept to avoid payments to their families; — Stocks of all material are sorely lacking due to constant strikes on supply depots, one out of ten servicemen is equipped and ready for combat, the rest have to fight with whatever they have to; — The volunteers have stopped payments at the place of civilian work, the military is detained for up to three months; — Armored vehicles are desperately needed due to the rapid rate of attrition facing the Armed Forces. — Lack of qualified specialists in the operation of old Soviet weapons.

It's true, you never can know with Russia. The higher up the totem pole you are the more scrutiny you're subject too.
There's been so much of that kind of thing it's hard to keep track of. At the end of the day, Putin can only get rid of so many people before he starts to hurt his own capabilities. Maybe that factory manager was corrupt or lazy, but he probably knew how to do the job better than whoever replaced him.
"Amnesty International researchers witnessed Ukrainian forces using hospitals as de facto military bases in five locations. " That is pretty clear.

>Maybe that factory manager was corrupt or lazy, but he probably knew how to do the job better than whoever replaced him. it coincidentally happened after ukrainians managed to shell antonivka bridge when the pantsirs and S-400s had to intercept the HIMARS rockets
The hatred that average Russians demonstrate towards Ukrainians is their "illegal" hatred of their own government "legally" projected onto a neighbouring country. Therefore, Russians solidarize with their government on the grounds of hating it passionately, while accepting this absurd conflict, offered by Moscow, as a way of fulfilling their chthonic power fantasy, with Kremlin and oligarch villas in mind and Ukrainian dachas at hand, much like a young gentleman who closes his eyes to imagine his loved one, while actually fornicating a harlot.
I propose the term "projected resentimiento" to describe this quaint phenomena.
The only thing becoming clear after your post is that you have to go cause you're obviously not from around here. The paragraph just says they were walking around and eating meals, this isn't using civvies as human shields.

That guy is in agony, fucking hell. Trench warfare with drones don't look appealing.

>The Russian Armed Forces have lost 200 THOUSAND PEOPLE! This is basically impossible, even if you were counted anyone wounded as 'lost' (which can be true, if you lose a leg your war is over) and you count the LDPRQ+, Fagner, Syrians, and churkas I don't think you'd get past 100,000. Again that's casualties not KIA.
Fuck that's hilarious.
Sounds like someone needed to cover their ass, I wouldn't be surprised if he was innocent and the army just wanted someone else to pin the blame on.
