A group of farmers entered the A7 motorway on Friday evening in the direction of Drachten to Heerenveen. A blockade has been erected by the police near Tjalleberd to stop the farmers.
The police rushed to the A7 with many vehicles. When they encountered the police blockade, the farmers allegedly drove back in the direction of Tijnje, where they left the highway.
It is not known whether any fines have been issued or whether people have been arrested.
