If we're talking about everyone born within the zoomer generation, the oldest ones (who are like what? 24-25 years old now?) were old enough to experience that. I'm talking mainly about the average college student now where I see this retarded behavior.

I don't know about parenting, but I think technology plays a huge role in it. Millennials at least remember a time and a lifestyle where pocket computer-TVs didn't exist. Zoomers don't. They are completely inured to the social machine god. The internet was a mistake. Only people who grew up without it know that though.

For example I'm 24 and I grew up with video tapes, cassettes in the car. But I also had a PC in my room since I was about 5 years old with unrestricted access, and pretty much immersed in 'meme culture' for a long time. I stopped using social media in like 2014 though, all my friends still use it. I do use Discord, but I treat it like Skype, not in any groups except personal friends groups. I grew up playing outside on bikes and various games and also climbing trees, I had a PS1, PS2, PS3 growing up, but I was 16 when the PS4 came out. Technically not legally old enough to buy Call of Duty.
It's a really really weird clash of cultures for me, I'll give an example.
You could not be gay in my town, wear anything like nail varnish and you would have had the shit kicked out of you in high school, despite that I know people that age that now wear all that shit (not Goths) So yeah I think the younger zoomers are really gay, or at least homosexual from my perspective. Zoomers have a different language when talking online compared to in real life. Also, they are much more hesitant to speak even when they have something to say.
A lot of zoomers also have trouble listening, like they need subtitles to understand what is being said. I don't have this problem but my friends do.
They suck at enunciation as well, they tend to slur their words together and expect people to understand.

Well I am pretty sure that I was absolutely dumb as fuck around 18 - 23. As was basically everyone who I ran with. We millennials might have started the trend. Yes, I notice I speak differently when I talk to people my age compared to older people, say >26. Although, I am much more comfortable with people my age as I tend to be more expressive as with older people, I tend to hold back as I feel like I could destroy them with my power level.

I think a small % of zoomers who are already decently high quality by genes and upbringing have a chance to be based far earlier in life, due to the greater access to information they have and the zeitgeist of the internet right now. I am only 26, but I remember being 12-16 and how banal the internet was back then. It was mostly just about video games and whatnot, and the peak of intellectual discussion back then was retard fundamentalist Christian creationists vs retard reddit-tier atheists. I'm sure there were like obscure philosophy websites and forums, but most people had no idea those exist. Nowadays there is a lot of tik-tok tier garbage, but people also thrown around complex ideas memetically, and throw around names of authors and such that are very very obscure by mainstream standards (like Guenon or something). Memes especially matured and started conveying a lot more interesting ideas. Internet memes, as a medium have evolved quite rapidly in the last 10 years.
