The thing to do is not fall victim to paranoia and distrust as that absolutely breaks relationships. Maybe visit your parents this weekend and try to have just a nice, carefree time. If you start to get too lost in paranoia or fear either do something constructive to help put your mind at rest or meditate on anything else, to feel relief and hope instead. Maybe get a camera or two for your house. At the end of the day your parents ought to put their love for you first, no matter their jobs.
