Is he guilty

Is alex jones guilty of being anything other than a conspiratard? Does freedom of speech protect him? When do the actions of your listeners become your financial responsibility?

Serious replies only thanks

Freedom of speech does not exist for those who oppose the official media narrative or establishment policy agenda. Alex Jones questioned the narrative and was found guilty

This trial is about scaring people away from examining the situations that is used to emotionally drive the country. Like Nostradamus i make a prediction that a future event will trigger a prepared plan for driving the nation for some nefarious action

He specifically called the parents of dead children liars. That is wrong and it is a crime. If he had said the FBI egged on the shooter, or the CIA used chemicals to turn young men into violent sociopaths he would have been fine, but he specifically called out the parents of dead kids and told millions of people that they were paid liars, and that is unacceptable.

I don't even understand what he's charged with?

>but he specifically called out the parents of dead kids and told millions of people that they were paid liars, and that is unacceptable.
Why?

He didn't threaten anyone. You could argue he commited slander because he claimed the parents were pretending to be victims of a horrific event that he claimed didn't actually happen. That could lead to people treating them in a negative way if other people believed those claims, but it would have to be in a financially negative way. "I believe Alex, you're fired." that kind of thing. Claims of racism aren't treated that way though.

What did he do wrong again?

Freedom of speech does not protect you from saying absolutely ridiculous horseshit that causes people to be harassed and constantly traumatized. First Amendment only really protects you from gov’t censorship

Controlled opposition being burned because he's outlived his usefulness.

Those parent made a decision to become public figures ten years ago. Public figures are fair game.

Because of damages caused to the parents.
Google "defamation"

Honestly, it's funny how the family is going after him hard. Yet the father and family of adam lanza, skate perfectly clean. The ones who actually caused the murder. Why arent the families going after his father who is a millionaire by the way in a civil suite? Gee I wonder why.

That actually has more teeth than this.

Its political in nature. The judge is actually extremely far left if you glance at her social media. Constantly badgers people to vote Democrat.

Wut? If someone else harasses someone because someone says they think that someone is lying, then that someone else did something wrong, didn't they? Did Jones tell people to harass these people or something?

I don't get it.

I never doubted the authenticity of the Sandy Hook shooting. Alex Jones certainly never made me doubt it. But this show trial is beginning to make me have doubts.

He released his premium documentary before the case
He will be fine and pay off the fine, grift king rides again

>blaming someone’s parents for their shitty kids
I don’t think that’s fair in most cases sans horrid abuse. Otherwise we have to blame the parents of every Any Forums user for their kids being complete losers.

They never argued the merits of defamation.
They declared him non-compliant for not having non-existent documents.
The entire "trial" was just to decide damages after declaring him guilty by decree.

Democrats often try to weaponize the term defamation to nullify First Amendment rights. They often do not know what the term actually means.

They raised the little cretin. Gave him access to guns. I'd say there is more evidence to BLAME the parents in this case.

You could argue they became public figures when their children were shot dead. So it wasn't in their control. I think it comes down to claiming someone else did a specific action. Accusing them of an act they didn't commit. What annoys me is that claims of racism aren't covered the same way even though "you've been racist" is an accusation of an action.

They only care about tweaking our noses...

But was he even charged with defamation?

He was the main source of consistent lies to a large viewer base which did shit like take potshots at their homes, specifically after he pointed out the parents and said they were actors. This isn’t legal.

Is that what he was charged with? "Consistent lies that led to nutcases taking potshots"? Is that a charge?

This. Was he right about it all along bros?
