I was quite surprised when I first heard that Anne Frank died from a disease, probably Typhus.
Since then, I've asked about two dozen people that I know if they knew how Anne Frank died.
Not a single one knew. Everyone was sure that the Nazis killed her, and almost all believed she died in a gas chamber. Even people who said they had read books or watched movies about her.
