Manage 30 rental properties for my parents. I rent everything for $100 under market and don’t rent to scumbags. I’d say all the tenants are happy with their service and have been offered sex for rent before from pretty hot chicks. I personally just assume they want to try and blackmail me so I never agree. Funny watching roasties seeethe because their pussy holds no power over the almighty dollar. My dad says I’m stupid and just fuck them even if they don’t pay their rent after, we can just evict them lol.

Max comfy. 2 houses with 2 wells, 2 septic tanks, 2 power drops. About 3 acres in a town of 500, all white, all Christian, in a finger canyon with a crystal clear creek in the back yard. Loading ammo and growing weed allows the property to pay for itself so I'm free to stack silver, guns, ammo, and equipment I will need to build/buy a house or small farm.
Current rent is 1k per month

I used to think the same thing, but most people who apply to rent from me are college grads who could buy their own house if they wanted to. The rest are usually bartenders who make plenty but don’t want to pay taxes

my city in california is in the top 3 cities now for people zogging their budget with rent. i pay ~$1k/mo, which is the absolute lowest option on the market - renting a room in someone's house. i have 5 roommates. landlord is chinese.
if i wanted to upgrade to a 1BR, it would mean burning like 40% of my take-home instead of the current 20%. it's just too much. and I pay $1k/mo in state taxes.
I already know it's not worth $1k/mo + higher COL to keep living here, but I have no idea where I want to move. family/friends live in cities most people try to escape
Oregon, $850 for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment on the "good" side of town. Small complex (10 units) privately owned. Could be worse.
