If global warming is real, then it should heat up the oceans even more, creating more cloud, and rain, which in turn increases the amount of water in those lakes. It also melts glaciers, which once again increases the amount of water in those lakes. Most of those so called droughts are man made, by building dams, redirecting rivers for agriculture, using too much or mismanaging water.

I live right under the Beartooth Mountains in Montana. The summer snowmelt is getting close to being over with. Since most of Lake Mead's water comes from snowpack in Utah and Colorado, I'd expect it to start dropping pretty quickly here and continue all the way into October, if not November or December. Also, you'd have to be a retard to live in Vegas or Phoenix at this point.

Lake mead is an artificial body of water that was created in a desert to feed water to california farmers. And yet people are surprised when the demand is probably ten times what it was 20 years ago and the artificial lake in a desert is going down.

How do you know that's not normal? It's an artificial lake and we have no data on normal or average waterflow rates before the 1930s. For all we know this is normal for that river.
