IIRC, the information is contractually anonymous. Also, it serves no real purpose for the data not to be anonymous.

Sure, knowledge could be misused, but how? It seems very impractical for any kind of misuse. Pretty much any directed attack or something can be done just as easily but "them" taking a sample from you by a number of different ways. And the risks of being caught misusing the data would be high sense it's not easy to hide such misuse given the high end skill employees (low barrier for them to blow the whistle) and expensive technology it would require (limiting its use).
