Are you prepared, user? Do you have a plan in place to survive?

Have any of you heard the "we have enough nukes to glass the planet 3 times over"? I did a fair bit of digging, turns out: no, we fucking do not. We have in total 12700 with average yield of 100kt. That is enough to glass 55626 km^2 (0.19% of earths dry land area), and cause light blast damage (broken windows, bruises, but no thermal or nuclear radiation) to an additional 116586 km^2.
And thats ALL warheads in existance. If they all hit. However, 9400 are in storage as part of various countries stockpile, not ready for active launch. Only around 3300 are ready to fly in a full scale nuclear war scenario. Which would be capable of glassing 14454 km^2 or 0.05% of earths dry land.
Now most nukes are set to target military installations, other nukes, nuclear silos, nuclear stockpiles and so on, but some would target urban areas. Currently the world urban area is 222688 km^2 so active warheads could destroy in a worst case scenario 6.4% of all urban areas, and since 50% of the human population lives in urban areas, at most around 250 000 000 people could be killed.
And thats if all nukes work. Which they don't. Nukes require incredibely expensive and technically chalengeing maintenance. And as we have seen, russians and chinese don't do that shit. 10% russian tanks work. So how many nukes do you think actually work?

>Do you have a plan in place to survive and live in the 7th level of hell until you die?
No, I don't. I'm probably going to go to work, and then drink some beers.
