user formerly from Shasta County here. There's a few things you need to know about CA. Take all of the population of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento. Now stack those urban counties against ALL of the rest of the state. Population split is 50 / 50. CA is a HUGE state, but the pop is split between the dense urban centers vs all of the rest of the rural counties.
How much representation does the urban 50% of the pop get in the state congress? Over 90% of the representatives. How much does the entire rest of the half of the state's pop get? Less than 10%.
CA is a slave state. Vote by mail is enforced - everyone is mailed one or more ballots via ancient voter rolls + motor voter laws for the greencards + 'visiting' illegals. Bottom line - CA's populace is taxed by whatever the elite want, and laws are created and then cheerfully ignored by the same elites running things. All charges dropped on Pelosi's husband's driving? You betcha. Every kid forced to take the untested MRM gene therapy shots if they want to go to school, regardless of the parents view on the matter or what taxes they've paid for the education? Yup.
